Job Summary:

The SAP in-house consultant oversees all activities and processes within the businesses with regards to SAP solutions.  Main area of focus is the whole order fulfillment cycle (order to cash) including interfaces to adjacent areas (requisition to pay) with responsibility to create and manage the yearly IT (applications) budget.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:
  • Understand the full process cycle from Order to Cash, from Requisition to Pay and how SAP supports these
  • Ensure every process has a dedicated BPO (Business Process Owner)
  • Ensure every SAP user knows and follows co. SAP rules and processes
  • Ensure adequate key users per area/process are identified and trained
  • Understand business needs, translate them into SAP solutions/processes within co. standards
  • Work closely with co. group functions and IT
  • Organize local and global (regression) test events
  • Help business to identify areas of improvement and convert ideas into structured requirements
  • Work with co. group functions, IT and external suppliers to develop and implement solutions
  • Act as the single point of contact to external suppliers
  • Assist with all other duties as assigned.
  • As member of the global IT team work on process and technology improvement tasks
  • Ensure overall compliance to corporate IT policies and customer requirements (incl. SOD)
  • This position reports directly to the Finance Manager – North America, with a dotted line relationship to the Global IT Director.  
Knowledge and skills requirements:
  • Customer Focus and Relationship Building.
  • Broad SAP knowledge with specialization in logistic processes (e.g. SAP modules MM, SD, WM)
  • Experienced in project management
  • IT security and compliance awareness.
  • Capability to understand business processes (office and production)
  • Strong Communication Skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Willingness to travel (<10%) (once per year overseas)
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, PLM Systems, CAD solutions, EDI and BI solutions like QlikVIEW reporting (desired).
  • Bilingual in Spanish, German, or Portuguese (desired)
Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field with a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience or associate’s degree in an equivalent program of study combined with a minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment required.
